With twelve books published and four publishers, I've worked with about eight editors. My New York publisher Avalon had very experienced, excellent in-house editors and Belinda ranks right up there with the best of them. She's very good at spotting areas that need more emotional depth, or characters who need their motivation explained more clearly. If punctuation or grammar is questionable she instigates a discussion instead of wielding a vicious red pen, and she is very careful not to tamper with an author's voice.
